Grading will be based on two equally weighted, in-class exams.
For naming purposes only, these exams will be referred to as the midterm and the final.
The midterm exam will be Tuesday, 2/1/00 at 9:00 A.M. (class time) in the lecture room (rm 1528 C.C.L.).
The final exam will be Thursday, 2/24/00 at 9:00 A.M. (class time) in the lecture room (rm 1528 C.C.L.).

Friday 3-4

This course deals with glacial processes and geology, the geologic evidence of related past climates,
and the reigning hypotheses for the causes of the ice ages. No previous training in geology is
required for the courses, although we will use some basic high school chemistry and physics.
The class meets each week for 2 lectures (9 AM, T + Th), as indicated
in the time schedule. A lecture time schedule is shown above.
A required coursepack for the course, including all readings and most lecture figures, is available at Dollar Bill Copying.
Most of the original sources (books) of the coursepack readings are available on reserve, but access may be limited due to class size.
